📅 On 8 – 9 November 2023, Ruggero Loi and Martijn Heck from INSPIRE platform participated in IPSR-I meeting co-hosted by PIC Summit Europe.

🔎 The Integrated Photonics Systems Roadmap – International (IPSR-I) is a global effort to define the future of #PhotonicIntegratedCircuits by creating a shared industry vision for future product standards and fabrication methodologies to enable the full potential of integrated photonics. Over 400 academic and industrial experts from across the globe are involved.

🤝 The 2-days meeting program offered a discussion on the challenges and solutions for heterogeneous integration, defined by the IPSR-I as “integrating multiple technical functions in a single chip made in mass on wafer level, out of two or more substrate technologies using wafer bonding or un- or partially-processed die attachment”.

INSPIRE partners are actively involved in the discussion to ensure a smooth route to industrial uptake of the micro-transfer printing technology in photonics.
